Howdy, I'm Mason, a product designer, creative builder, and follower of Jesus raised in the Cayman Islands and currently based in San Diego.

I believe design is one of the most powerful tools for loving people well. It can uplift, connect, and help someone take a step toward what matters most to them, or it can exploit, manipulate, and reduce people to a conversion metric. I want to spend my career doing the former.

That conviction shapes how I work. At the UC San Diego Design Lab, I helped facilitate a community workshop where students ideated around a potential Art + Design District in Downtown San Diego. After the session, my teammate and I synthesized the participants' insights and presented them to the project leads at New School and Conrad Prebys, turning what could have been a one-way information session into something reciprocal. The students' voices shaped a real conversation about a real place. That's the kind of design I want to keep doing: work where the people it's for are genuinely part of making it.

My process is research-first and people-centered. I care about the gap between what users say and what they actually need, and I'm most energized when design thinking gets applied to problems that are messy, human, and worth solving. I've worked across product design, brand identity, and entrepreneurship, including building a creative e-commerce brand to over 1,500 global sales, and I bring that same thread of intentionality to everything I touch.

I'm currently finishing my degree in Cognitive Science (Design & Interaction) at UC San Diego and actively looking for product design roles where I can collaborate with teams who take both craft and purpose seriously.
